The Sharp R-230KK Compact Microwave is the smallest microwave I have ever owned. I initially bought for its small size to fit my kitchen counter as I was running out of space. It measures 18-1/8 by 10-7/8 by 14-1/8 inches. However, for its size, it brings a lot of power. It runs at 800 watt and has a capacity of 4/5-cubic-foot which is rather amazing for something its size. It may be small, but you will be surprised by what you can actually fit in there.

When I bought this microwave, I really never expected it to be as good as it is. After all, I was looking for a small, budget microwave and what I got was a microwave of my dreams. It has so many functions that I thought could only be found on more expensive models. One of the functions I really like is the defrost option. I really didn’t expect this model to have it as it was very cheap. You can even choose the settings manually or let it go on automatic for the defrost function which is based on the weight of the meat.

Another feature about the Sharp R-230KK Compact Microwave that some people might find silly or unimportant is the fact that the light goes out when the door is opened. I know, some people are asking why that is even important. This is because the secret to having a microwave work for decades is to open the door and let the microwave dry out. My mother taught me this and her toaster has lasted 26 years and still counting.

All in all, this compact microwave is suitable for those who have little space for their microwaves as it’s really small and light. However, I still recommend it to all as I feel it’s a great deal for its price.

The Sharp R-216LS Compact Microwave is a suitable microwave for those who are looking for a small and compact microwave that isn’t well, too small. It’s just nice and weights less than 24 pounds. The Sharp R-216LS Compact Microwave is rather similar to the Sharp R-230KK Compact Microwave in terms of functions. It is able to defrost food based on their weight and cooks really well. Similar to the Sharp R-230KK Compact Microwave, it has many functions that allow for different methods of cooking and have many quick buttons for ease of use.

The only thing I prefer with the Sharp R-216LS Compact Microwave is their popcorn cooking function. It makes popcorn perfectly, every time, even with different types and brands. It’s really good when you have social events especially movie nights. It also reheats food and coffee very well with even heating and reheats well. Again, like the Sharp R-230KK Compact Microwave, the light goes off when you open the door.

In conclusion, the Sharp R-216LS Compact Microwave is a great microwave as well. It is suitable for those with a small family or couples or even students.
